PechaKucha | From Old, New is a speaker series part of Alserkal Advisory’s activations for Dubai Culture’s recently announced Quoz Creative Zone (QCZ). PechaKucha is a succinct and creative style of storytelling in which a presenter showcases 20 slides in 20 seconds of commentary per slide.
The theme explores questions of how we make the new from the old, and how tradition transcends into being a source of innovation. We invited creatives and entrepreneurs to use the community centre “The Courtyard” as a backdrop. The PechaKucha format makes the content both interesting and concise, enabling broad topics to be presented with brevity.
Alserkal Advisory is creating a programme of events that will run through the rest of this year and carry on throughout 2023 designed to put QCZ on the map as the hub for creativity and entrepreneurship in Dubai, as part of the Dubai Creative Economy Strategy.
